Over the past forty years, Smart Architectural Aluminium has grown to become the UK’s leading supplier of aluminium systems, building a reputation both for the quality of our products and for our product innovation, design and technical expertise. From our state-of-the-art, 60,000m² base in the South West of England we control the whole manufacturing process. From the first stage of extruding the aluminium, right through to manufacturing your new aluminium entrance door, we take great care and enormous pride in providing you with products of the highest quality and performance standards.

60,000m² Purpose Built Plant

Our purpose-built 60,000m² plant in the South West of England is the most modern and efficient of its kind in the UK.

State-of-the-Art Aluminium Presses

We operate three aluminium presses; one 8” 2,200 tonne, one 8” 2,500 tonne extrusion press and in 2016, we commissioned a new 6” 1,500 tonne extrusion press, giving us an annual total production capacity of 30,000 tonnes.

Integrated Vertical Paint Lines

Smart operate two vertical paint lines and one horizontal paint line with a combined production capacity of 800m² of painted profile per hour.

End-to-End Capability

All our systems are manufactured from start to finish at our plant. We have complete control of the whole process, ensuring every profile we manufacture meets our exacting quality and performance standards.

We continue to invest in modern plant and equipment, making ours one of the most modern and efficient plants in the UK

Recycling

We re-use recycled aluminium billet, as well as capturing 98% of the excess powder used in our finishing plant. We even capture and store up to 900,000 litres of rainwater for re-use

Sustainable Power

We are working towards becoming energy self-sufficiency in our plant, evaluating a whole range of renewable energy sources.

Carbon Footprint

We aim to reduce our environmental impact, using effective management systems to constantly review every aspect of our business.
